Due to the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board of Supervisors of Pequaywan Township will not be holding the Local Board of Appeal (LBAE) meeting scheduled on April 29 at 3:00-4:00 p.m. at the Pequaywan Fire Hall. Instead, they will meet and conduct business in a telephone conference, starting at the scheduled time of the meeting. This meeting will still be open to the public. If you would like to listen in the LBAE meeting, send an email to email@example.com or call 218-525-4068 with your phone number. You will be registered for the meeting and will be sent instructions on how to get into the conference call.

Important Information Regarding Property Assessments
This may affect your 2021 property taxes
The Board of Appeal and Equalization for Pequaywan Township will meet on April 29, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. via teleconference. The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor.
If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your assessor’s office to discuss your concerns. If you disagree with the valuation or classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the local board of appeal and equalization. The board will review your assessments and may make corrections as needed. Generally, you must appeal to the local board before appealing to the county board of appeal and equalization.
Per St. Louis County, physical inspections of properties are suspended until further notice and meetings will be handled virtually by their personnel.
