Resolution 2025-003: Planting Memorial Trees on the Township Land

TOWN OF PEQUAYWAN
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MINNESOTA

WHEREAS, Pequaywan townspeople have in the past, requested to plant a memorial tree or trees on the land located on Rossini Road owned by the township in honor of their departed family member;

WHEREAS, the Pequaywan Township Board of Supervisors hereby allow planting of memorial trees in the township land on Rossini Road;

WHEREAS, the Pequaywan Township Board of Supervisors will hereby designate a location for planting memorial trees;

WHEREAS, the Pequaywan Township Board of Supervisors hereby require that non-invasive species be allowed for planting and the requester review the list of invasive species at  https://www.mda.state.mn.us/plants-insects/minnesota-noxious-weed-list which will not be allowed;

WHEREAS, another option is to donate to the Pequaywan Township or the Pequaywan Fire Department;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Pequaywan Township Board of Supervisors require that a requester contact one of the supervisors for approval in planting a non-invasive memorial tree.
