WHEREAS, due to COVID-19 pandemic, and with regards to the health of town officers and residents of the Town of Pequaywan, the Town Board of Pequaywan conducted an Emergency Meeting with the clerk, treasurer, deputy clerk and deputy treasurer in attendance, on March 27, 2020, and unanimously decided not to hold monthly meetings at the Pequaywan Firehall and instead conduct the meeting via teleconference until further notice;
WHEREAS, conducting the meeting via teleconference would cause delay in paying bills and threat of COVID-19 virus to officers involved by having three signatories on the check;
WHEREAS, the Town Board of Pequaywan motioned and seconded, motion carried 3-0-0, to adopt a Resolution for One Signatory Check in Paying Claims;
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors motioned and seconded, motion carried 3-0-0, that Raymond G. Barnes, Treasurer of the Town of Pequaywan, to sign the one-signatory checks effective March 27, 2020, until rescinded;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of Pequaywan, St, Louis County, Minnesota, hereby adopt a resolution that Raymond G. Barnes, Treasurer of the Town of Pequaywan, to sign the one-signatory checks effective March 27, 2020, until rescinded;
