Pequaywan Township Donation Fund

A donation fund is being created by Pequaywan Township after many inquiries over the years from residents who wanted to donate toward the benefit of their community.

Funds can be designated to any of the following:

      1. Pequaywan Fire Department
      2. Pequaywan Township Road and Bridge Fund
      3. Pequaywan Township General Fund

Donations of any amount will be accepted. However, a community plaque will be created by Pequaywan Township listing the names (or family names) of donors with a $500.00 or more monetary donation. The plaque will be hung up at Pequaywan Firehall. You can also choose to remain anonymous or designate the funds as a remembrance to a family member. For example, you could honor the family member(s) who first purchased property in the area.

Contact the Pequaywan Township treasurer by email at peqtreasurer@gmail.com for more information.

Less than 10% of your property taxes go to Pequaywan Township so any legacy you wish to leave is very much appreciated.

The list will be updated as funds are received.

Name Month/Year Amount Fund

One example of a previous gift is the generous donation of Al and Ethel Wilson. Pequaywan Township’s land parcel was first donated by the Wilsons to the Pequaywan Lakes Association in 1964 (before the Township was founded) for the enjoyment of Pequaywan citizens and was later transferred to the Township. Another example of a previous gift is the picnic shelter Alex Olson built and donated to Pequaywan Township in 2019 for his Eagle Scout service project with Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America). The picnic shelter can be enjoyed by all and is located along the Pequaywan Trail system.
