March 10, 2026, Board of Canvass Minutes

Chair Douglas Nelson called the meeting to order at 10:07 P.M.

Clerk issued the Oath of Office to the Board of Canvass Members:

“I, _____________ do solemnly swear or affirm that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Minnesota, and that I will discharge faithfully the duties of the office of Pequaywan Township in the County of St. Louis County, the State of Minnesota, to the best of my judgment and ability.”

Stolp read the result of Township Election for two open supervisor positions. (1) 3-year term: Douglas Nelson, 14 votes and write-in Douglas Dressen, 2 votes; (2) 2-year term:  Allen Treviranus, 14 votes and write-in Tom Jackson, 1 vote. Douglas Nelson and Allen Treviranus won the election.

The Board reviewed and concurred with no noted errors or write-in issues.

Nelson motioned to declare the results of the vote and sign off on the summary, Wilson seconded, motion carried. Nelson yay, Wilson yay.

Clerk is authorized to issue notification of winning the election to the candidates and request their signed campaign financial forms within the time period which is on or after March 18 with a swearing in required within 10 days of that notification.

Nelson motion to adjourn the meeting at 10:11 P.M., second by Wilson, motion carried. Nelson yay, Wilson yay.
